2023-2023

I did two months in the recently opened Varley store on Kings Road for the Christmas period. I was able to learn a lot about working with a team, as previously, I had limited experience with teamwork in the retail industry. I had a great relationship with my team; we leaned on each other for the bigger orders. I completed the biggest sale the store had seen since opening, and my team were a huge help with pulling sizes, helping me package the order, and double-checking the system to ensure the items were correct. I lacked time management skills when I first started, but I quickly got back into the swing of things and came into work 20-30 minutes early each morning to make sure I was prepared. With these new improvements and teamwork, I was able to achieve being the highest-earning employee for the months of November and December.

I have worked as a sales assistant/part-time manager of an independent shoe and handbag store. As the only employee aside from the store owner and handbag designer, I worked mainly in online order fulfilment, storefront sales, creating window displays, organising/unboxing new stock and storeroom management.

For a few months in 2021, I worked at my old primary school, managing the art department all weekdays except Friday, where I would assist with a Year 2 class. This meant I was able to deal with students of all ages.
