Wholesale Area Manager US Market - Permanent contract

A renowned luxury fashion brand is seeking a Wholesale Area Manager. This role involves strategically developing and managing the wholesale distribution network to drive revenue growth, establish new partnerships, and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.

Main Responsibilities

Market Penetration and Development

  • Strategically design a plan of action to develop the current assigned market.
  • Identify and exploit qualitative growth opportunities.
  • Accelerate revenue growth and provide solutions to enhance it.
  • Evaluate implementation opportunities.
  • Establish new partnerships and explore potential in new locations.
  • Monitor, manage, and animate existing partnerships.

Management of Distribution Performance

  • Define budgets based on seasonal and annual objectives.
  • Plan, carry out, and follow up on customer meetings to develop turnover in line with the brand image.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly sales reports; analyze the business to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial conditions with turnover ambitions with management support.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key players in wholesale accounts.
  • Perform in-depth qualitative research to prospect for new customers and locations.
  • Weekly control of payments and related deliveries.
  • Track all payments, minimize delays, and reduce pending invoices in collaboration with the Accounting department.
  • Monitor collection deliveries with the ADV department.

Monitoring and Animation of Distribution

  • Visit stores to ensure brand image and strategy compliance; debrief business trips focusing on performance indicators.
  • Conduct seasonal trainings for wholesale accounts to engage and raise awareness among salespeople about the product and collection inspiration.
  • Monitor pricing and discount policies for e-retailers, department stores, and the wholesale network.
  • Ensure compliance and consistency of brand image on wholesale account platforms.

Reporting

  • Establish regular performance reporting (Sell Out, deliveries, payments).
  • Create post-showroom reports with business and product performance analysis.
  • Conduct regular market benchmarks, brand positioning, and price competition analysis.
  • Collaborate with the ADV department to analyze customer requests, improve sales performance, and resolve customer issues.

Collaboration with Sales Coordinator and Intern

  • Monitor and coordinate weekly Accounts reporting.
  • Implement sales department coordination tools:
  • Swap/restocking/returns monitoring.
  • Monitoring order-taking conditions post-showroom.
  • Updating customer database.
  • Develop collection training for customers in collaboration with merchandising.

Support - Showroom Coordination

  • Support monitoring of agenda and general flow of upcoming sales campaigns.
  • Assist sales team during appointments, selling ceremonies, and order closures.

Profile

Training and Experience

  • Business school education, specialized in luxury wholesale.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the wholesale business within a luxury house.

Required Qualities

  • Strong work capacity in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the luxury fashion and wholesale sector.
  • Essential team spirit and strong business, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsiveness, autonomy, versatility, and punctuality.
  • Ability to travel, analytical skills, and a good product sense.

Languages

  • Excellent level of English and French essential.
  • A third language would be a plus.
