As an MA Pattern and Garment Technology student, I am looking to further my competencies and gain experience in the areas of digital design, pattern development and garment technology. I am specifically interested in industry 4.0 integration within the fashion production industry, having focused my studies on the employment of 3D body scanning technology, to improve both production sustainability and product function within the fashion industry.
My responsibilities at parfois include customer service, managing daily tasks, opening and closing the store, visual merchandising and communicating with higher management.
• Pre-production, pre-shipment and bulk garment assessment for measurement, specification compliance, and visual quality. • Report writing. • Communicating with suppliers. • Updating tech packs and trim guides.
In July 2021 I launched my first 7 piece collection under the SewnByShiv label. I developed all the patterns myself, built the website, produced all the pieces and managed all the orders independently. I have since produced a second collection and I plan to further develop this brand following some essential industry experience.
My duties at Seams Perfect include: • Making alterations and repairs to garments. • Operating a variety of industrial sewing machines including lockstitch machines, overlocking machines, blind hemming machines, cover-stitch machines, baby-lock machines, embroidery machines, and industrial irons. • Taking measurements and fitting garments to customers. • Cutting garments and textiles. • Customer service

January 2018 to August 2019 Having worked with horses forthe most part of my life, and following obtaining a Distinction in both the BHS ‘Stage One Horse Knowledge and Care’ and ‘Stage One Riding’ I possessed the essential hands-on knowledge and experience necessary to fulfil this role. My duties as an Instructor included: • Arranging, writing and complying to lesson plans. • Co-ordinating and instructing summer camps. • Assessing the ability and progression of my students.
