I started this job as runner which I was handling food at the pass and making sure the waiter have made sure that a costumer doesn't not have any allergies , then in 3 weeks I was moved to waitress because managers believe I handled my self well on the pass and good with costumer interaction . After 5 I was moved to floor supervisor because I knew what what in every dish and the main allergies for them . This job role also made me train new runners , waiters and managers. I'm also in charge of closing time where I check what people have done during close to ensure that closing is made thoroughly and up to Tempers standards.
At this job I was required to cook and prep food . I also had to clean around kitchen. I did a couple shifts at the front as well which required me to greet the costumers, make coffe to the costumers , and sell the cookies that are being displayed.
I was in charge of directing cars to where they testing boots and also be inside where I would have to pack a swab , directions book, tissue, test tube and put a bar code on the test tube . Put all of the above in a gray bag for the costumers to use. I worked 12h a day. The reason I had to leave early was because I had to leave for university
My role was to help the hairdresser do the costumers hair (braiding and giving the x-pression out). Do calculation at the end of the shift of the money earned. I helped translate into Italian to costumers who didn't understand English properly. If she was running late I would open the shop for her. I cleaned the shop at the end of the shift.
Outside of school I completed my National Citizenship Service in Wolverhampton and this involved spending a week in the outdoors Followed by a week at Wolverhampton University attending lectures on dementia affecting older adults, followed by a further week raising funds in the community. My group raised £200 for throwing a tea party for the elderly and we did this by planning everything on paper and made it come live.Furthermore, I have also taken part in some charity work at the Wolverhampton Dementiacare home where my team of 15 people again organised parties with anything from purchasing the patient's favourite biscuits to playing their favourite music in a bid to stimulate long-held memories.
I had to make sure to serve the costumers with the right medication when they explain they're problem, put in alphabetical order pills, tablets and pomades, clean shelfs and find the prescribed medicines listed on the prescription paper.
I had to attend event to help them set up the various theme and organize different games for both children and adults. I had to go and help make posters for events, develop their website and create a picture frame.
