I work very closely with both the general public and the dogs throughout the week within two roles - Retail side of the business and Animal care. This is an extremely fast paced role, we are under pressure and have to remain calm and in control to safely handle the dogs. The dogs are a joy to work with, but the most enjoyable part of my day is speaking directly to the customers during home tome or in the retail side of the business. In the afternoons I manage in the shop: Advising the customers on our best products and helping them with understanding what will benefit their dogs. I have a great product knowledge and help select new products to sell based on customer feedback. I process payments, take orders and keep stock in order and conduct weekly stock takes. I meet with wholesales to choose the latest products and buy stock. I have encouraged the business to open on a Saturday and I personally run the 'Saturday Dog Club' - I deal with all the customers (25 - 30 at a time) take bookings and manage all enquires. I also create events - Such as dog birthday parties, Swimming Club, Puppy club and recently introduced 'Trick of the week' All hugely successful with the customers.

I worked with a small business owner - Betty Blooming - This was a part time role around school. I helped generally within the business with flower installs, planting and transportation of flowers. I also assisted with managing online orders for flowers, photographing for social media posts and responding to customer enquires.

I worked on the shop floor helping customers with anything they require: Sizing, advice, restocking items, product organisation, taking payments and returns. This was my first experience working in retail and realised my passion and love for fashion and customer service. I worked there until the shop sadly closed, but would have loved to pursue further work within this industry.
