I have extensive cashier experience at Grill No.1 and Clickn Chicken, where I developed strong customer service skills. My adaptability in fast-paced environments makes me an ideal candidate for temporary retail sales roles.
I am currently a self-employed barber. Due to me not being paid in the past, I decided to work for myself. Currently, I am not as good at barbering as I could be but I am regularly learning new things. Currently, I do not have many clients but I regularly give a haircut to one of my clients once per week. Due to me being in college, Unfortunately, due to me not having much experience or anyone teaching me techniques, I am not promoting myself. I plan to complete my courses in College and then do a barbering course afterwards and have someone teaching me once I learn the necessary techniques, I will start promoting myself but also look for any barber shops that are hiring.
The owner of the grill is a family friend and I willingly worked for them for free for a couple of months. I offered to work there for free due to some complexities with the manager and the employees and the company required assistance. Although I was not paid, I believe that this was a good use of my time as I am young and got some experience of how it is to work in a restaurant. I left work in March to focus on my studies but also because the restaurant was in a better place than it was when I had first started working there.
I also currently work as a self-employed photographer. I have had multiple clients in the past but I have only done small projects. All of my clients are individuals I have met through education or social media. During this work, I have to edit photographs later but I am currently only doing this to earn some extra money.
I started working in this barbershop when a family friend offered to give me a job there to gain some experience. I originally joined because I had some experience cutting hair and thought it would be good to see how a barber shop works. Originally, I would sweep the floors but later I started cutting beards unfortunately I was not allowed to cut many people's hair. During my time in this shop, I was working for free but the experience helped me learn how to run a barber shop.
I was offered to work in this chicken shop as I had my holidays and I know the owner. Alongside the first two jobs, I was working here for free as well. I was only here for a short time but got quite a lot of experience here. I would regularly communicate with customers regarding orders and issues. This would improve my communication skills and also my problem-solving skills.
