The role I played was serving the best refreshments and tasty snacks to ensure that great experience ensuring excellent hospitality. Things I learnt was how to remain calm in stressful situations and work in fast paced environments with clear communication with your whole team.
This is something I did for my mum as we own horses. I would go and help out where necessary with mucking out and keeping things clean, ensuring the horses I cared for had fresh water and when needed full hay nets, alongside bringing the horses I cared for to and from the fields and stables when needed. Things I learnt from this was that shouting doesn't get you anywhere but to remain calm and collected is the best approach to a problem even in the most unexpected situations. I also learnt about communicating effectively and how to take charge in situations building on my leadership skills.
