I'm currently freelancing as a fashion stylist offering a variety of styling services including; personal styling, wardrobe styling, on set/shoot styling & virtual styling. I recently organised my 1st editorial shoot, the primary purpose was to showcase the diversity and breadth of my body of work. This ambitious project was a collaborative effort involving a dedicated team of 16 talented individuals. As the stylist, project manager, art director, and creative director, I oversaw every aspect of the shoot, ensuring that my vision was seamlessly executed. The shoot featured an eclectic mix of pieces from established fashion brands and innovative independent designers, highlighting a dynamic range of styles and aesthetics. By integrating these diverse elements, we aimed to create a visually compelling narrative that underscores the versatility and creativity inherent in contemporary fashion. This editorial not only reflects the collaborative spirit and meticulous planning behind it but also serves as a testament to the rich diversity within the fashion industry. To further bring this vision to life, I will be creating both a short film and a magazine from the shoot, providing multiple platforms to experience and appreciate the artistry and effort behind this project.
In my role with Fashjonn, I initially began as an intern, eager to learn the foundational skills of the fashion industry. During this time, I focused on mastering the essential techniques of taking precise measurements, pattern cutting, and sewing. This hands-on experience provided me with a strong technical base and a deep understanding of garment construction. Through dedication and a commitment to honing my craft, I eventually progressed to the position of junior seamstress. In this role, I was responsible for constructing and sewing garments for clients, ensuring each piece met the high standards of quality and craftsmanship that Fashjonn is known for. This journey from intern to junior seamstress has been instrumental in developing my skills and passion for fashion, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to each client's unique vision.
In my role as a store stylist at Harrods, my primary responsibility was to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. This involved creating personalised lookbooks tailored to each client's unique style and preferences. Staying up to date with the latest collections was essential, enabling me to provide informed advice and recommendations to clients regarding new arrivals and fashion trends. I also scheduled and conducted one-on-one meetings with clients, where I offered personalised styling sessions. During these sessions, I focused on understanding their individual tastes and needs to curate outfits that aligned with their preferences. This role allowed me to blend my fashion expertise with exceptional customer service, ensuring each client enjoyed a bespoke and memorable shopping experience at Harrods.
