About

I am Martin Sallieres, born in 1991, and currently serving as the Senior Footwear Designer for SUNNEI in Milan, Italy. With a background in product design and a lifelong passion for both the footwear and automotive industries, my roots trace back to the eastern suburbs of Paris and the south of France. Having graduated cum laude from the Man & Activity department at Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), I embarked on my career in Amsterdam, where I worked on a diverse range of commercial and experimental footwear projects. My work has gained recognition, being exhibited at esteemed museums like Musée des Arts Décoratifs et du Design de Bordeaux, and has been featured in renowned publications such as Highsnobiety, Vogue, Conceptkicks, and Hypebeast. Over the past five years, I have contributed significantly to the realization of four collections for Sunnei and six collections for Filling Pieces. My design approach has emphasized a keen sensitivity to crafting new silhouettes, exploring innovative material combinations, and curating captivating color palettes. Many of the footwear models I have created have received widespread acclaim from both the press and the public. My primary objective has always been to elevate the label's identity to new heights and expand the range of products offered. Among my proudest achievements is the initiation and design of the formal and fashion-forward branch of the brand. This endeavor encompassed a broad spectrum of footwear, spanning from sneakers and formal loafers to women's heels. By introducing this new dimension to the label, I successfully broadened its appeal and catered to a wider audience while staying true to its core values.
