Key Responsibilities; Working long shifts with early morning starts. Heavy lifting of oyster bags, transferring them from the oyster bed to the boat and tractor. Stacked and knocked bags to release oysters. Checking through and sorting to remove, pests, tiny and dead shells from the products. Operating the hopper, (Large sorting machine) Cleaning machinery and removing waste. Sorting oysters by size and weight using machinery. Weighed boxes to measure stock. Lifting and sorting Storage Containers. Ensuring careful transportation by quadbikes.
Key responsibilities; Oversaw entire farming process of products from seed to sold. Collaborated with workers to achieve eficient and timely production. Worked to a seasonal schedule to meet harvesting and other deadlines. Completed farm operations: planting, cultivating, processing crops. Maintained farming equipment. Use of hand and power tools Cleaning of IBC tanks. Chipping of excess plant material to produce compost and path materials to minimise waste.
