An established Technical Designer with in-depth garment construction knowledge in all product areas across Mens and Womens including specialist fit (Petite, Tall, Maternity and Curve). Continuously looking to drive change through the technical strategy and implementing throughout the product life cycle. Achievements centre around interpreting data and trends to execute impactful changes with maximum benefit to business profitability and client perception of size and quality whilst maintaining minimal disruption to the supply chain and client experience.
• Technical responsibility for Womenswear denim, jersey and soft wovens departments and Mens bottoms • Successfully implementing grading, fabrication and block measurement changes using data to interpret trends in customer feedback to influence repeat and new orders • Developing true petite and shorter length ranges on Own Brand using client data and feedback to inform fit conversions • Built strong relationships with cross functional partners to support product strategies and company initiatives including cross-functional work with Customer Experience to improve post-sale data visibility • Partnerships with packaging industry leads and in-house warehouse operations to streamline requirements and minimise disruption to warehouse workflows whilst improving client experience • Full ownership of the factory base and factory capabilities, reviewing audits, driving change as a result of factory visits and constructive feedback discussions with suppliers, buying • Consolidating legal testing requirements for cross-regional shipping • Successfully communicating and implementing changes to Vendors through annual Vendor manual updates; managing expectations of third party stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition to new ways of working with minimal impact to critical path
• Working across soft wovens, occasion dresses (inc. bridal) and denim departments and supporting the technologist in fit sessions • Responsible for ensuring all specialist orders (petite, tall, maternity and curve) are true conversions of core product; making necessary adjustments to fit where required • Collaborating with the buying team to maintain critical path by communicating with suppliers • Ensuring all fabric and components are compliant to industry and legal standards through proactive testing • Rolling out and training new suppliers on ASOS systems such as PLM and Interlink portal
